Sock Ribbing - A Little Variation

This pattern is called Cherry Pie, by Debbie Ford, which is available on Ravelry. 

She does a nice little variation on the ribbing, which I've adopted to these two socks so far.

I LOVE the texture of the sock, don't you?  I made this sock into a shorty, which was a little tricky.  The pattern doesn't tell you how, but i figured it out. 

It's a simple and creative thing to do.  I did the first three rows in k1, p1. Then the rest as k3, p1, for however long I wanted the rib.  There is also a slip stitch row before the color change on the pink sock.  That is in the pattern instructions.  The green cuff - I omitted that step.
