This blog started in the "playroom". That's what DH calls artwork- playing. Wish I could live in the "playroom" forever.

KNITTING PROJECT BAG and More

I've been working on this project bag for a while, not because it's hard to make but I had no time.  This is the finished bag.

Today I had to make another vinyl pouch to fit my circular needles.  These pouches are good for holding anything in your project bag that you dont want to get tangled in your yarn.

This measures 7 inches by 5 inches.  You can see it holds the longer circs quite nicely.
Here is the back of the pouch.  I need to hand sew the binding to the back and install a snap at the top, then it will be done.
This is the original half round pouch, that I designed to hold smaller objects, like stitch markers, and ear phones or power cables for my phone.

I can think of a lot of uses for these pouches, because I like to stay organized, and not lose anything that's very small.

The larger rectangular pouch is made in the same techniques as the half round.  And no zippers involved!

Other closures you could use are magnetic snaps, but I dont like to use magnets close to my sewing machine or electronics.

Other closures:  a regular metal snap that you'll have to sew on;   a tie of some sort like a bead with a lasso;  a metal flexible piece that you squeeze open, like in a coin purse.

I like to keep my closures simple, and be able to open the pouch with one hand.  That's why I chose the plastic snap.

Pattern with instructions will be available soon.
