Why we call it the 'Playroom': the place whence objects pleasing to the eye are brought from the drawing board to reality, after much discussion with the ancestors.....

Rodeo Rose

She features completely removeable clothing: Hat, shirt, bandanna, jodphur style pants, Batwing Chaps, with hand embroidery; she carries a Lariat; she rides her Stick Horse, and she has a "Center Medallion Rose" quilt, that has an embroidered center. The hat also comes with a hatbox, and she has a cloth storage bag. She has re-dressing instructions and a document brochure. Everything is handmade, including the hatbox.
She is weighted for sitting. She looks really cute sitting on the edge of a shelf.
Peony #8 was inspired by all the cowgirls who used to ride the rodeo in the 20's and 30's. See more about them at: http://www.cowgirl.net/, at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, located in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was also inspired by Linda Carter Holman's work. See her work at: http://www.carterholman.com/.

My favorite fabric and patterns!
Fig Tree had a special last month, buy three get one free (of their choice). I am so happy! The third one, French Kiss, is one I wanted but didn't order. If you haven't checked out their website and blog, please do so. If you love pastels, this is the fabric for you!!! Have you ever been to Bell Buckle?

Just for fun - Have you ever been to Bell Buckle, Tennessee? There's a street of shops, mostly antiques, a cafe with live music on the weekends, ice cream - and - MOON PIES! There's an RC and Moon Pie Festival every June.
The scenery surrounding the little town is very beautiful - the quintessential Tennessee landscape of rolling hills. You'll be able to relax and take a deep breath and get away from all the hustle and bustle of life when you take this ride.
