Goodbye to My "Laughing Corn"!

Here yesterday.......

.....gone today!

I am obsessed with my "laughing corn"!

It entertained me all summer,

providing me with music to my ears all through the season.

Now, all the ears have been harvested,



and we will await winter...

I actually do love Halloween, I do.

It's been a time for lots of fun,

some scary times too.

But I'll focus on the fun,

Keep the bad spirits on the run,

and burn a candle in my face jug for me and you!

Pure Whimsy! A Bohemian Free Spirit!

A fall offering: Named after the beautiful wildly colored flower, Zinnia is wearing her brightly colored attire but is prepared for cooler weather with her little Jacket. She wears a Sleeveless Coatdress, fully lined, that closes with three snaps and is decorated with leaf shaped buttons. Her jacket is also fully lined and closes with a button at the top, with a tiny hand-crocheted loop. Of course, she’s wearing Bloomers! They are elasticized at the waist and legs. She wears a Peasant Scarf over her full head of hair. With her Balalaika, she’s getting ready for the Autumn harvest of flower seed, and she’ll be placing them into the Seed Bag strapped across her chest.

This Week On the Farm......

The fog is fogging.....

(The cool autumn air makes me a little giddy.  I just can't help but say these things in a childish way....)

the mushrooms are mushing....

...the dog is waiting....

...the clouds are clouding...

...the ants are anting....

...the walnut tree is nutting...

... a butterfly is resting....

...Bog boots are bogging....

....Autumn is autuming....

...one Hydrangea is blooming (!).....

...the Camellia is budding....

...a Blue Heron is visiting....

...a bird is warblering....

...the pellet stove is pelleting...

...and all is beautiful and well.
